Overview:

This HOSIM X-17 is HOSIM 's first 1:8 scale rc car. Marketed towards both kids and adults. It’s also called VENUM.The monster truck is equipped with 3650 powerful brushless motor with heat sink and cooling fan. Compared with the brushed motor, the brushless motor has 2-3 times the life of the brushed motor and consumes only 1/3 of the power of the brushed motor. built in 85A brushless ESC makes the RC buggy more potential and upgradable, precision engineering design makes it have the maximum energy conversion.

Body shell:

The X-17 has a painted Lexan car shell ( green), which is extremely durable and lightweight, withstanding multiple tumbles during testing without cracking or cracking. I recommend leaving the plastic wrap on the treadmill for the first few runs, it will help your body stay refreshed for longer.

Chassis:

The chassis of X-17 will be relatively large, because it is a remote control car with a large ratio of 1:8. In addition, an all-metal car bottom is adopted, and many accessories have also been replaced with metal materials. So the weight of the car will be a bit heavier, but I think it will make the car stronger and more durable.

Battery Mounting System:

The car is equipped with 1 battery. The battery box is stiffer compared to other cars. Equipped with 3S, 11.1V, 2600mAH battery, increase the running time, you can go further! This is also Hosim's first rc car with 3s battery. There is an extra hard shell on the outside of the battery, which can better protect the battery. I believe it will improve the battery life to a certain extent.

Motor:

The X17 is equipped with 3650 brushless motor, 2800kv, with aluminum heat sink. Compared with the brushed motor, the brushless motor has 2-3 times the life of the brushed motor and consumes only 1/3 of the power of the brushed motor.

ESC

X17 comes with 85A brushless ESC (with cooling fan), including 5 power supply ports and 1 debugging port. All steel gear 6.0kg full scale steering gear. Built in 85A brushless ESC makes the RC buggy more potential and upgradable, precision engineering design makes it have the maximum energy conversion

Performance:

This is Hosim's first 1:8 scale RC car, and it has performed much better than I expected. I tested the X17 in many places, such as grass, landslides, sand piles, water booths. It performed better than I expected. Apart from a little scratch on the body shell, there are basically no other problems with the car. Because it is equipped with a 3s battery, the speed of this car will be much faster than other cars with 2s batteries, and it has strong off-road climbing performance, which is not limited by the venue. I played on snowdrifts and wet grass and the interior got soaked, but it still worked fine. It also travels at high speed. The car itself is very durable. It has quite a few metal parts to make sure it doesn't break right away, which is great. I see the underbody is metal, and metal rocker arm, double front universal joint, metal adjustable steering linkage, metal hydraulic shocks, metal upper swing adjustable linkage oil shocks for added stability, brushless The motor gives it a nice power boost. Wheelie happens almost every time you start off. The 1:8 ratio makes it a pretty big beast, especially when flying at full speed. And Hosim's X17 is relatively cheap in the ratio of 1:8 remote control car, so I highly recommend this car.
